AROUND BRAZORIA




Jane Long's Tavern was one of the first buildings in Brazoria.   The building no longer exists,
but this marker identifies the site, on the south side of the river near the Brazoria Bridge.



Brazoria City Hall


A branch of the Union Pacific Railroad (formerly owned by the Missouri Pacific Railroad) passes through Brazoria, about a mile from our house.   This mural, in downtown Brazoria, commemorates the days when the railroad provided passenger service to the area.








Several freight trains pass through Brazoria each day.





 
Brazoria's old water tower stood for 54 years, but it's gone now.
